Disco Outlet v1.
Fairly safe smart 8 outlet power bar. Can power up to 120V @ 10 A, but don’t do that. Controlled by a ESP32 Dev Board @ 3.3-5Vdc.
Particularly useful for automating on/off devices like lights, fans & pumps on a schedule or based on conditions/sensor data.
The ESP32 can be programmed in a number of different languages for this project – arduino, micropython, etc. This is flashed with ESPhome – an add-on to Home Assistant that is extremely easy to use and program within HA.
Currently working on a follow up that integrates the esp32 or perhaps an esp8266 module, relays and power supply on to a pcb that can be mounted neatly. I will upload the schematics here and to github.
